Hi Gang!

If you had just FIVE MINUTES with screenwriting guru Syd Field, what questions would YOU ask him?

I've secured Syd for a (brief) interview over at Writers FM and I'm looking for questions!

Would you ask him for his BEST TIPS on getting started in screenwriting?

Or go for something detailed... Like why is Syd SO SPECIFIC about exactly WHEN you should begin the second act?

Send your questions to karl@karlmoore.com (and put the phrase "BPSF" in the subject line to ensure it bypasses the spam filter) -- or post them here in this thread.

Thanks guys!!

Hi Karl

I'd like to ask Sid what he thinks would be the best type of screenplay to produce for someone looking to break into the industry - comedy, adventure, sci-fi, crime, horror, or whatever.

I'd also be interested to get his views on treatments. There are at least three types of treatment, ranging from a basic plot summary through to a scene-by-scene breakdown. Does he have any advice on writing treatments and the best format to use?

Great questions, Nick -- will pass them on.

I've also had about five so far by e-mail, so much appreciated!

Karl,

I'd ask, if you only had 5 minutes to say something to the listeners, what would you say?

Karl,

Ha! It is one of your usual questions, so of course it's brilliant!
