Non-UK Writers Wanted - UPDATED

I recently heard from one of my former publishers, Peter Read, of Survival Books - www.survivalbooks.net

Peter is looking for writers across the world to produce new titles for several ranges of books about living and working in the countries concerned. These are NOT travel guides; rather they are books for people who will be going to live in these countries for an extended period of time. Take a look on the website and you'll see the sort of thing he publishes. Oh yes, and you can check out my books Living & Working in Italy and Living & Working in Germany while you're there as well!

Initially, Peter is looking for people in Germany, Hong Kong and China, but he will be looking for authors in many other countries (though not the UK) as well. I don't have details of the terms he is offering. Having worked for Peter in the past, however, I'm sure they will be reasonable. Payment is likely to be on a set rate per 1,000 words rather than a royalties basis.

An update to this. Peter tells me that he has now found people to write the books about Germany for him. However, he is now keen to hear from people who can write 'Culture' books about China and India. He really needs people who live in these countries, at least for some of the time. Contact him at the email address above. I would not recommend replying on the forum, as he is not a frequent visitor here.

A further update. Peter says that thanks to MWC, he now has someone to write "Culture Wise India". At the present time, he ONLY wants to hear from people who can write Culture Wise China and Culture Wise Hong Kong (these will be two separate books, probably by different writers). You MUST live or work in China or Hong Kong, at least some of the time, to be considered for this. Please contact Peter directly by email using the address in the first post on this thread.

Peter does not want to hear from anyone about countries other than China or Hong Kong at the moment, but he will be announcing more opportunities for authors in the new year.
