Might happen Nick; I'm half way there!  Grin Grin Grin

Hahaha - yes, I'm almost there myself, but I WILL complete the course (it's still high up on my to-do list (if only the list wasn't so long ...))

That's the one thing about lack of deadlines, eh?

Thanks for the information Linda. I have just started this course so it could be very helpful. However I do have to admit that the course materials seem to be very extensive. The only problem I seem to have had so far is that the tutor although making some very valid points, had punctuation and spelling mistakes all over her reply.
best wishes, bry.

Bry, you can always ask for a change of tutor if you wish.

Thanks for the advice Nick. As I say I am very happy with the course materials, but it is the tutor who really makes or breaks these courses. I will carry on for now and see how it goes.

Thanks again,
Bry.

I agree, Bry. Tutors are so important and they can absolutely make or break a course, as you say. Why struggle on with somebody you're not completely happy with? As Nick says - you can always ask to change.

Hope you find a solution.

Symphony

p.s. My WB tutor is just fantastic. Makes all the difference!

Thanks for the comments.

Somebody left a comment on my blog from this group. Unfortunately I am a new blogger and also heavy handed. I somehow deleted the comment before it was uploaded to my site. Whoever it was thank you for the comments.

Bry.

I have retrieved the comment. Thanks Linda.

I did this course several years ago from New Zealand.  I got an Australian Tutor who was a professional journalist.  Both the course and the tutor were excellent, though I agree that the tutor can make or break the course.

Reading this thread, I would draw a distinction between the advertising and the course.  The course quality is good, the advertising may be suspect.  However, my tutor did guide me through the sales process and, as promissed, I recovered my course fees from the sale of magazine articles.  So no complaints from me on that score.

Well now, 24 hours on and no offers.

I suggest the assertion is unproved.

I'm also doing The WB course. What annoys me is that I get a e mail at least once a week, trying to get me to enroll. I already have, Don't they check there records. Argh!!!!

I have to say, I didn't like my tutor very much. She didn't do anything wrong, I just don't think she was that helpful/
I've learmt more about writing from MWC than WB, and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg.

We should put that testimonial on our adverts!
